Zirakpur municipal council seals building in VIP Enclave for plan violation

                Mohali: The municipal council on Thursday sealed an under-construction building at plot no. 45 in VIP Enclave for violating the approved construction plan. The enforcement action was 
carried out by the council's building branch in the presence of the naib tehsildar and local police officials.According to municipal authorities, the builder had made unauthorised 
modifications and structural deviations despite having an approved building plan. A prior notice had been issued to the builder, which was ignored, prompting the council to seal the 
property.The council has intensified its oversight of construction activities across the town to ensure strict adherence to approved blueprints and regulatory compliance. Officials 
emphasized that deviations from sanctioned plans not only compromise the city's planning framework but also pose risks to public safety.A spokesperson for the council stated, "The 
safety and orderly development of Zirakpur is our top priority. Builders must adhere strictly to approved plans. Any violations will be met with strict action."In a broader warning, the council 
urged all developers operating within its jurisdiction to comply with sanctioned building designs.
Non-compliance, they warned, will attract penalties including sealing of structures and legal proceedings.The council also appealed to residents to remain vigilant and report any 
construction activities that appear to deviate from approved plans. This, officials said, is essential for preserving the city's structural integrity and ensuring a safe living environment for all.
