Infosys to Invest ₹300 Crore in New Mohali Campus, 2,500 Jobs to be Created

Infosys, one of India’s leading IT giants, has announced a major investment of ₹300 crore to establish a new campus in Mohali. The announcement was made by Punjab Industry Minister Sanjeev Arora, highlighting the state’s growing attractiveness for IT companies. Spread across 30 acres of land, the campus will significantly strengthen Infosys’s presence in the region.


In the first phase, the company will construct 3 lakh square feet of space, creating 2,500 new jobs for local talent. This expansion is expected to open doors for professionals in IT services, boosting employment opportunities in the region. In the second phase, another 4.80 lakh square feet will be developed, further enhancing the company’s operations in Punjab.

Infosys has been operational in Mohali since 2017 and continues to expand its footprint in the city. Sameer Goel, Head of Infosys Mohali Centre, expressed satisfaction with the strong support provided by the Punjab government, which has played a key role in making the project a reality.


The Punjab government’s business-friendly policies and quick approvals are driving major investments into the state. Minister Arora stated that industrial projects now receive approvals within 45 days, showcasing the government’s commitment to ease of doing business. With Infosys’s new campus, Mohali is set to emerge as a stronger hub for IT and innovation in North India.
